The experience of the grant with the Global Researcher Club
The grant was a great experience for me .I applied for the grant two years ago , and it was under the supervision and mentorship of Dr. Ramy Ghazy within the Global Researcher Club. This grant gave us the opportunity to test our hypothesis toward the latent Tb status in Alexandria.

Summary of the study: The objective of the project was Tuberculosis screening among asymptomatic high risk; as an example of a novel collaboration between NGOs and health care providers. Our sample was 500 people from all over Alexandria who are from low economic class and apparently healthy. We used the Tuberculin test to test for latent disease and we used a structured questionnaire to ask about sociodemographic information and ask about the high risk factors and the presence of active tuberculosis symptoms.
The collaboration with the NGOs was novel and very effective in assembling and organising our population.
